How we make money
Readers should be able to tell the difference between an editorial recommendation and a commercial placement. This page explains our current position and the rules for any future revenue.
Our current position
At present, MustInstall has no active paid placements or affiliate tracking links. Reading the site does not require payment or an account. We do not charge readers for clicking a normal official download link.
Sponsored placements
If sponsored content or advertising is introduced, it will be clearly labelled where it appears. A paid placement is not a review verdict. A sponsor cannot buy a favourable conclusion, suppress a relevant limitation or receive editorial approval rights over an independent review.
Affiliate links
An affiliate link can earn a publisher a commission if a reader makes a qualifying purchase. If we use one, we will identify it near the link or in a clearly visible article disclosure. An ordinary store link should not be assumed to earn us money. Any commercial relationship must not replace an evidence-based assessment.
Developer submissions and review access
Sending an app suggestion does not buy coverage, priority or a positive verdict. If access is provided through a free licence, press code or another material benefit, the relevant article should disclose it. We distinguish access that makes testing possible from payment for an opinion.
Future changes and commercial enquiries
We will update this page if the revenue model changes, and disclose relevant relationships in the affected content. For commercial enquiries or questions about a disclosure, contact [email protected]. A proposal does not change the editorial rules above.
